This advertisement for Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign is very impressive. Very impressive indeed.

The thing that struck me is that this video does not contain the empty soundbites and buzzwords that dominate most political advertisements. Instead there mostly meat, and very little sizzle.

Essentially Sanders is the politician that most candidates only pretend to be.

The man has integrity oozing from every pore and an unshakeable dedication to doing what is right, without regard to polls or the shifting winds of political opinion.

Oh shit, did I just talk myself into being a Bernie Sanders supporter?

P.S. Just for fun compare Bernie Sanders to ANY of the declared candidates from the Republican party.  No seriously, any of them.

Very clear there is no comparison. The gop is nothing but a field of assholes

  2. I fear for this wonderful man as he is sticking it to those with the money and the power that comes with that money. I doubt that they will allow him to run as it is possible he could win and that would not fit their plans at all. Thus, I fear for his life.

That said, he is such a breathe of fresh air! I'd be proud to call him my President for sure.

Call Diogenes ... We have found an honest man and in the most unlikely of places.

  6. The guy gives me the chills -- like Obama did.

He's shaking things up for sure. A dangerous man. He is hopeful and is warms my heart. Campaigns are won with a good story and a good heart. He has both. He is saying what many can only think would NEVER be spoken by a politician.

"When millions stand up and fight, they win."

I didn't underestimate him when I heard he would run and I don't now. I predicted Jimmy Carter would become President and he was Nobody. Sanders is already a Somebody and 175,00 people have already -- this first week! -- pledged their time (& money) for him already. How many for Hillary? She must be fuming, again, watching this.

    1. Few people expected President Carter to win either. Another honest and humble and decent human being.

Jimmy Carter was too good for politics.

I have to support Bernie, even at the risk of losing the election to a republican. When a man with as much integrity, heart and intelligence as Bernie Sanders comes along, if you don't support him, you are accepting politics as usual. I have never contributed to a political campaign, but I will this time!

First, he has to win the nomination. Then we can vote for him!

Right, but my support is going to him, not Hillary. I think Hillary can win the election against any GOP candidate, but I don't know if Bernie could. I am willing to take my chances, to support the best candidate.

I LOVE Bernie Sanders. However, I don't think he has a chance of becoming president. More's the pity. Maybe just maybe he can have enough influence to move others in his direction. Let's hope!
And OT, what's the scoop on Dakota Myers marriage in 2008? Do you know anything about it?

The 'move others in his direction' talk is a joke.

If the political winds change, Hillary will be full sail ahead in whatever direction is most politically opportune to win. Once in office, none of that matters.

You have to support those that actually have integrity.

He's worth funding that's for sure. And if he loses to Hillary, she's definitely worth voting for. Win-win. We've GOTTA put a democrat in the White House in 2016, no question about it. Otherwise, America will start looking more and more like Somalia.

Watching the riots, chaos, and destruction in Ferguson and Baltimore that were green lighted by the current Democrat White House and Democrat DOJ, this place is starting to look like Somalia.

Yes, EVERY FUCKING problem that has existed in the 21st century can be attributed to President Obama and the Democrats! I think it goes even deeper...the forbidden fruit was handed to Adam by Eve, a Democrat! Fuck off, asshole!

What you guys don't see the resemblance of liberal bastion Baltimore on fire to Somalia?

Cop cars getting smashed, bandanna wearing young men poking holes in live fire hoses as firemen tried to do their job, crowds throwing rocks at the popo.

Get used to seeing that, only with people of all colors, once the Koch/ 1% finish buying up America and predominantly GOP politicians. Popo? You are an idiot.

He is the "it" guy... he has my support. I hope that Americans will get off their butts and get behind another great man!
Like our classy present leader. I may not agree with Obama all of the time, but I sure as hell can agree with Bernie.
As a retired stockbroker, I fume at the crap I saw and the escalation of the 1%. That is the simplest explanation for outright gangstering.

  12. Bernie Sanders is one candidate I can truly get excited about, although I also realizes his chances to beating Hillary for the nomination are not that great. I can’t even imagine the fear the Koch brothers must be feeling if he should get the nomination. I’ll bet we’ll start seeing a lot of negative ads being run against Sanders by the Koch brothers and other corporate interest groups trying to raise a level of fear over him to keep down voters interests. Sanders should be a great canary for us all just to see how much influence and power corporations have on elections in 2016.

I have always admired Bernie. He's an open book and I mean that in a good way. He speaks with conviction and sincerity, but the way things are set up, and until things change for the better in politics, he's too good, too honest and too sincere. BUT if he get's his name on the ballot, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.

That's what was said about Obama... early days...

    2) Kock bros et al will immediately call him a -- OMG !!! -- socialist/communist (not knowing or caring to point out the difference).

I don't know if he stands a chance but I'm willing to support him 100% and I've been a Hillary supporter up until very recently. While I think she'd be a good President, I think Bernie Sanders could be a President who could truly transform this country into what we can and should be but only if voters give him the Congress he needs to do so. Can the Democratic Party actually rally their base? It's doubtful because they don't work together. The party lost the '14 elections by not backing President Obama's accomplishments and praising him and the party for what has been done. The one Democratic candidate who asked to campaign with PBO won his seat handily despite the odds being against him.

The most important thing we need to do is to keep the GOP out of the White House because they will rip up all the good that has been done and tear this country apart even worse than Bush left it. We need to work together!

    Otherwise, whoever the Democratic candidate.

I will never vote for a Republican, ever.
