George W. Bush: "The Russian government has made a project of turning Americans against each other."

You know only Donald Trump could actually make me wish for a return to the Bush presidency.

At least W wasn't fucking insane.

(You can watch the entire speech here. And you can find an annotated transcript here.)

While I appreciate Bush and Obama carefully criticizing the Trump administration without actually going after him by name, I really think that they need to amp it up.

IF Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and George H. Bush all came out and stated emphatically that Donald Trump is destroying this country and needs to be removed from office that might really move that process forward.

I know that former presidents are supposed to treat their successors with deference, but let's face it this is an entirely different situation.

It is time to stop playing it safe, and to REALLY start playing hardball for the sake of this country's future.

I think things will amp up (by our former POTUSs) and Trump will eventually be impeached or he'll be forced to resign. There is no way he can continue representing America! The majority of our country and the world despise him!

    1. Or -- he will resign due to Alzheimers claim. That would
      1) make his behavior excusable
      2) make him unable to be prosecuted
      3) give him an "out" -- so he won't be a loser.

If you think it's the Russians turning us against one another you haven't been paying attention. It's the Republicans and Democrats doing it for their corporate masters. They have us going after each other so we don't pay attention to what they are doing to our country.

But yah, the Russians are a good scapegoat. Sheesh!

McCain, Bush, Obama speeches. Subtle but are they not talking about a traitor/traitors? Wouldn't it be great if the country could have an open discussion regarding American traitors?

Donald Trump’s Niger scandal tied to Russian sanctions and Blackwater’s private army

...Trump appears to be trying to cover up the op in Niger because it was tied to Russian oil interests. Not only would that make Trump look even more beholden to Russian President Vladimir Putin, it could also be in violation of the Russian sanctions bill that Trump grudgingly signed into office in August. There are also two other aspects of the Niger debacle that are personally scandalous to Trump.

Donald Trump’s jealousy of President Obama may have been what got four U.S. soldiers killed in Niger

  8. So that's where we're at. Bush doesn't even have to have the balls to namecheck who he is criticizing to come out better looking because George's heartless conservatism was raised with at least enough Emily Post to avoid talk like "I tried to fuck her," "big fake tits" and "grab them by the pussy?" Eh, no.

"A lot of people who really should know better -- in the print, network and online news media, on social media and other forums, and in "real life" -- got all goo-goo-eyed over him. People I've known for years exclaimed over how funny and cute he was on Ellen! And how he's friends with Michelle Obama! And isn't he just so much better than Trump?

Full stop. We have just lost cabin pressure.

Let's start with the book. It is a collection of some 66 Bush-painted portraits of the faces of men and women who got blown apart one way or another in Iraq and Afghanistan. The portraits of those maimed in Iraq specifically depict soldiers in muted agony delivered to their current damaged estate by the artist formerly known as George, who threw them into that meat grinder for money on a raft of obvious lies. If one had a soul, the act of painting the faces of your victims would seem like a fate worse than death, a sorrowful tour of self-loathing and regret as your brush rounded out the features of those laid low by your faithless greed. But no, there was Bush on the television, smiling and smiling with the book in his lap, utterly oblivious to the ghastly irony of his endeavor. ..." - William Rivers Pitt

Almost all members of the US House and Senate despise Donnie Dotard, but they fear the rabid, far-right base even more. Since their main goal is to be re-elected, they will allow Dotard to destroy our country and the world if it increases their chances of being re-elected.

OT yet worth watching the video because unless you hear for yourself it is hard to believe Trump’s performance meeting with the governor of Puerto Rico. Trump IMO rambled and kept repeating and emphasizing PR was hit with Cat 4 and 5 hurricanes and the terrain presented distribution challenges. I think this was the first time he acknoweleged roads and bridges were destroyed. Much of Trump’s repetition was stated as if the press or people in general did not have knowledge of these things including power plants were destroyed by Cat 5 hurricane. Is he delusional we only know or believe his tweets such as the lazy Puerto Rican’s won’t help themselves? Or in this meeting his condescension that we need to understand houses were destroyed and residents had to take care of their families hence lack of truck drivers?

This video is surreal as if Trump was on another planet disconnected from any reality except what he did regarding personnel and supplies. I kid you NOT Trump sounded astonished as if everyone was unaware that supplies needed to be dropped from the air to people!

Meanwhile he discredited trashing the Mayor of San Juan about the extraordinary circumstances as she pleaded while he was on defense boasting.

George W. Bush Bashing Trump's 'Cruelty' Is Hypocritical Bullshit
