You know there was somebody with a history of being a little sexually inappropriate onstage, and that's Leann Tweeden.

This is during the same show where Tweeden accused Al Franken of sexually assaulting her.

Really?

Here she is onstage with the great Robin Williams.
Look putting on a performance with fellow actors, musicians, and comedians can be a very touchy feely situation, and typically folks are more or less okay with it.

But to accuse a fellow performer of assaulting you, when THIS is your typical behavior seems very hypocritical to me.
Also keep in mind that Roger Stone predicted that Franken was about to face his own sexual harassment charges as did this "reporter" from Info Wars.

That was at least two days before Tweeden made her allegations.

Somebody found actual footge of the USO show so that you can judge how sexually harassed Tweeden appeared on stage. Women should be believed, they should.

But should ALL women be believed, EVERY time?

I am not so sure that is a good policy.

She's a bitch!!! I knew Al Franken didn't do a damn thing wrong. She came on to him and he reciprocated. Nothing more and nothing less!

Thank God the majority of us are not sheep and followed in agreement w/her! She should be ashamed of herself!

How did he reciprocate? He did not say anything about the alleged rehearsal kiss. He did not deny the photo. He did not touch the flak jacket, it was a stupid prank pose. We have not heard from the other participant, the photographer, who would be just as guilty if part of a sexual assault. For all we know Leeann could have been awake and not sleeping. She may have been in on a plan for a stupid prank photo. What do you think was him reciprocating?

The republicans still win,the damage has been done, even if he is cleared by the ethics investigation, it will be a blip in the news.
Everytime a charge of sexual misconduct comes up,the republicans will say what about Al Franken.

I have suspected there is much more to come out on this story but it's a very slippery slope when people choose who to believe based on politics. Gryphen isn't someone who has a spotless record when it comes to women and he really seems to be pushing the Tweeden is lying narrative. Even with his vast, extensive, stories career of helping the mentally ill (despite no college degree) he mamaged to admit he's done his share of office hanky panky. Hmmm.

You seem a little unclear as to the definition of "hanky panky" and seem to think it means non-consensual relations.

      It doesn't.

I was in a relationship with both women, who I also happened to work with, it was after hours, and I married one of them.

I only brought it up in an earlier post to demonstrate my lack of judgement concerning consensual sexual encounters, clearly there are others who are not quite so non-judgemental.

Consensual office hanky panky is all great until things go south and then it is often a big mess for both people, if not the whole office. It speaks to Gryphen's poir judgement.

Next couple of weeks should be telling if any other ladies come out with stories on Franken. He was around a celebrity party crowd for much of the 70's and 80's where things happen and young ladies (or boys) with stars in their eyes sometimes find themselves in vulnerable situations. Whether he partook of this advantage or not, remains an open question.

    ABC NEWS Nov 19, 2017:
Trump sexual misconduct allegations 'remain very disturbing': Republican senator

Republican Sen. Susan Collins said sexual misconduct allegations against President Donald Trump that surfaced during the 2016 campaign "remain very disturbing."

"President Trump was not my choice for the Republican nominee for president, and I did not support him in part because of the way that all of these reports about how he was treating women," the Maine senator told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on "This Week" Sunday. "He is president now and I’m working with him on some issues. But those allegations remain very disturbing."....

    1. Exactly. Stare-uh Huckleberry can try all she wants to down play the “seriousness” of those allegations and the Republicans will continue their smear attempts towards the Democrats but what Traitor Trump said, on camera, more than once, about his attitude and treatment of women remains and it supports what those women are saying.

Molester Moore doesn’t belong in the Senate and Traitor Trump doesn’t belong in the White House.

Hopefully the people of Alabama won’t make the same mistake twice. You can call voting for Trump poor judgement but when you do it a second time?

Add to this, the photo of him "groping" her was photoshopped BIG time. This was done for two reasons, one to discredit Franken and two to discredit any woman who comes forward in the future to accuse someone of harassment.

    Meanwhile, it turns out:
-- Tweeden is a close associate of Sean Hannity.
-- Roger Stone, GOP dirty tricks operative, said a few days before the story broke that something was coming out on Franken
-- Tweeden has signed a book deal with Regnery Publishing, the major rightwing publishing house

Finally, wasn't Tweeden a Playboy Playmate at one time> Post pics if you have them.

Jake Tapper just came out and asked her if this was politically motivated. She read AF's letter of apology on The View. She is a skank who falsely accused an honorable man for personal gain. It will all come out. That's why she is saying she doesn't want an investigation. If she had nothing to hide she'd be all for it.

Her actions are going to diminish womens' complaints that are legit and make them look suspect. She should be ashamed of herself. But these right wing types have no shame and no integrity.

She is already getting good publicity and making money off her latest move. Which is very damaging to the man she is accusing.

The Senate is one thing. Both Tweeden and Franken were volunteering with the USO when the things she is accusing of happened.

    7. I don’t think the Playboy employment has anything to do with thise. Your other points are valid.

I think more to the point is Tweeden’s behavior to others on the tour and others she works with.

It is standard procedure to rehearse before a performance so Tweeden’s complaints about the kiss are suspect. It may be more about she is a conservative and it was no secret Franken is a liberal. He had also authored a few books not very complimentary of G.W. Bush or the Republicans by 2006. So there may very wll be a personality clash there that she is blowing up.

The photo? That is juvenile ass hattery. And as others have pointed out, the shadows make it look like he isn’t actually touching her, just posing. Bad judgement? Certainly. Sexual Harassment? My reaction is, is that all you’ve got?

The investigation will cover all of this and the results will not be good for the Republicans. I think Franken knows that and that is why he immediately called for this investigation. Franken is wicked smart and the Republicans will suffer further due to their inability to accept that.

    Politco:
The Hidden History of Trump’s First Trip to Moscow

🤔....When did the KGB open a file on Donald Trump? We don’t know, but Eastern Bloc security service records suggest this may have been as early as 1977....

😉....The most revealing section concerned kompromat. The document asked for: “Compromising information about subject, including illegal acts in financial and commercial affairs, intrigues, speculation, bribes, graft … and exploitation of his position to enrich himself.” Plus “any other information” that would compromise the subject before “the country’s authorities and the general public.” Naturally the KGB could exploit this by threatening “disclosure.”

Finally, “his attitude towards women is also of interest.” The document wanted to know: “Is he in the habit of having affairs with women on the side?”.....

🤔....Trump continued: “One thing led to another, and now I’m talking about building a large luxury hotel, across the street from the Kremlin, in partnership with the Soviet government.”...

😃.....Dubinina said: “Trump melted at once. He is an emotional person, somewhat impulsive. He needs recognition. And, of course, when he gets it he likes it. My father’s visit worked on him [Trump] like honey to a bee.”.....

😊.....Once in Moscow, they would receive lavish hospitality. “Everything is free. There are good parties with nice girls. It could be a sauna and girls and who knows what else.” The hotel rooms or villa were under “24-hour control,” with “security cameras and so on,” Suvorov said. “The interest is only one. To collect some information and keep that information about him for the future.”

These dirty-tricks operations were all about the long term, Suvorov said. The KGB would expend effort on visiting students from the developing world, not least Africa. After 10 or 20 years, some of them would be “nobody.” But others would have risen to positions of influence in their own countries....

😎....As a GRU operative, Suvorov was personally involved in recruitment, albeit for a rival service to the KGB. Soviet spy agencies were always interested in cultivating “young ambitious people,” he said—an upwardly mobile businessman, a scientist, a “guy with a future.”....

I Loathe Al Franken, But It Sure Seems Like He is Getting Totally Railroaded

...Based on what we currently know, however, it sure seems like he is getting railroaded today based on the story by Los Angeles radio anchor Leeann Tweeden (who works on the show of Doug McIntyre, who I consider a friend). In fact, this is almost exactly the type of story I warned about earlier this week while discussing the new, much lower standards, which the news media suddenly has adopted for reporting allegations of sexual abuse.

Let me first say that I don’t think Tweeden is lying. Franken himself has confirmed part of the story. There are many very serious problems with this accusation instantly being universally picked up by nearly every major news outlet, however, without a hint of vetting or thought, so that, as of this writing it is by far the biggest news story of the day (I have been particularly appalled at many of my fellow conservatives for not being able to resist immediately jumping all over Franken, obviously out of political retribution).

The first issue I have is context. This happened as part of a comedy routine on a USO trip. The little details here matter a lot and it is very easy for them to be altered or exaggerated over time either through the limits of human memory, or via changing self-interest. Even if we assume her story to be 100% true, In Franken’s mind he may have been rehearsing a comedic kiss (one which she admits she originally agreed to), while to her he was creating an excuse get a cheap thrill at her expense.

Her whole story really revolves around the extent of the “rehearsed” kiss. It is the only element of this claim which really clearly falls under the heading of “abuse” or “assault.” On this we are relying on her eleven-year-old recollection versus his (it should also be pointed out that she went ahead with the performance after this occurred, apparently without any sort of official complaint)....

    https://www.mediaite.com/online/i-loathe-al-franken-but-it-sure-seems-like-he-is-getting-totally-railroaded/

Tweeden's story is falling apart faster than a wet paper bag, because there are pics of HER grabbing a man's butt. Then a pic of her groping and dry-humping Robin Williams from a 2005 USO show. Now, this is not to say that there are victims of rape who don't come forward because they're shamed. But, what it does say is that Tweeden thinks it's alright for her to engage in sexual behavior, but if she thinks a man does it to her, she cries foul. Plus, it doesn't help that she's a birther and a buddy of Shammity and that Roger Stone KNEW her allegation was coming out this past week. I put nothing past Bannon or Stone to have set this woman up to doing this. She's a Right-winged hack herself who questioned Pres. Obama's birth certificate.

    1. She works for Mercer who is a campaign contributor of Trump and funds Breitbart. 2. She is working on a book with Steve Bannon. 3. She did the interview with Roger Stone (himself under investigation as part of Trump's campaign collusion with Russia). 4. The timing. She did this at the height of the Russian investigation and the Roy Moore scandal when Al Franken is one of the Democrats who has been the hardest on Sessions and Moore, coincidence?

14 Female Staffers Say That Al Franken Treated Them With Respect And Was A Champion For Women

One of Tweeden's interviews she talked about her doing this like, me too. In the hope other women will come forward with their assault and harass stories of men.

I took it she meant other women would speak out about the problem on these USO trips. By her speaking up she gave them strength to tell their stories.

And she spoke like she knew of others that Franken had treated, as she says he did to her. Indicating he is a serial assaulter.

Now I think she was just trying to find excuses for her to say these things now and as she is doing this.

As I understand her, the husband is the only person she told about this 10 or more years ago. She has been suffering and carrying this pain a long time and her husband as well.

If they knew about a problem on these UFO tours, why not go to them and let the USO know? It would have probably been handled very discreet.

      There may be other incidents. People support the USO for the troops, not for anyone misusing the organization;

Tweeden and husband owe it to the troops to speak up to the USO.

  23. I think it’s important to stress that harassment is a two way street. This isn’t just about men harassing or attacking women. Women do the same thing to men. Maybe not as many of them, or as often or in quite the same way, but they do. I think Tweeden grabbing men’s asses on that tour is a good example.

I think it goes a long way towards pointing out the hypocrisy of both her crying wolf and the attack on Franken.

Bring on that investigation and let’s have ALL of the evidence and motives behind them come forward. Then we’ll see what is a witch hunt and what is an attempt at exposing a sexual predator and protecting our country from such.

Franken apologized to Tweeden in two separate statements, asked the Senate for an ethics investigation into himself and said he will “gladly cooperate” with such a probe. Senators in both parties joined his call for an investigation.

Tweeden said she did not come forward “to have him step down.”

“I think Al Franken does a lot of good things in the Senate, you know, I think that’s for the people of Minnesota to decide,” she said on Friday. “I just wanted him to understand what he did was wrong.”

  25. The minute I read (and looked at) the "proof" of the so-called sexual assault allegations against Franken, I called it here. A Great Big Set Up. Now we hear about the massive Scum Bag Roger Stone predicting it before it even went public! How odd. And notice in the days to follow the loud drum beats in the social media (and Republicans in Congress) demanding his resignation. Republican/Russian trolls smell worse than 5 day old fish.
NOW we see the background evidence come forward (right wing trolls are stupid and pick their accuser with a dubious background, plenty of video evidence about her past sexually aggressive behavior, and appearances as a right wing talking face with Hannity and Fox.)
All this is designed to remove Franken, our best bull shit detector on the Senate Judiciary Committee. He is Trump's most effective enemy in the Senate. They've been setting this up for months, scratching their heads about how to get rid of him.
NOW it is about to blow up in their faces!!! Bring on the official inquiry and let all this see the light of day.

Yes, the Senate is done and won't come back for years, if ever.

The good news is we now know what rot and filth goes on behind the scene in a once respected organization like the USO.

Tweeden is an example for women who have been taken advantage of, harassed, assaulted while they only wanted to help our service members.

We can do nothing about the Senate.
We can do something about the dark side of the USO and do better for our troops.

It will be good for women to be able to speak up about the USO.

    3. Franken isn't going to step down or resign and that investigation can't make him. The only way Franken can be removed from the Senate is if the people of Minnesota vote him out. Three Major Alabama Newspapers Urge Voters To ‘Reject’ Roy Moore

“How can we look our neighbors, our parishioners, our colleagues, our partners, or our children in the eyes and tell them they are worth less than ensuring one political party keeps a Senate seat?” it continued. “How can we expect young Alabamians to have faith in their government or their church, when its leaders equivocate on matters as clear cut as sexual abuse?”

“A vote for Roy Moore sends the worst kind of message to Alabamians struggling with abuse: ‘if you ever do tell your story, Alabama won’t believe you,’” the editorial said.

    From The New York Times:

“I don’t want to use the word disgust,” said Kathleen Sisson, 67, a retired educator who had known for years about Ms. Corfman’s account of Mr. Moore. “But it bothered me greatly to know what I knew.”

    https://www.nytimes.com/201...

On a separate note, Franklin Graham tweeted:

The hypocrisy of Washington has no bounds. So many denouncing Roy Moore when they are guilty of doing much worse than what he has been accused of supposedly doing. Shame on those hypocrites.

    https://twitter.com/Frankli...

Mr. Graham is essentially asserting that sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and sexual assault are trivial, irrelevant, and inconsequential. The odds that every woman is lying are remote. That there are corroborating accounts makes the odds even lower.

To proclaim that "so many denouncing Roy Moore" are "guilty of doing so much worse" is nothing less than an expression of willful deceit. It is deceit aimed at elevating a man who is unfit for public office to the U.S. Senate. It is "false witness," as there is no evidence of any kind to substantiate such an untruthful charge.

‘Shirtless’ Roy Moore tried to pick up teens at YMCA — and local voters ‘treated it like a joke’: report

...According to the report from the New York Times, many who knew Moore in Gadsden, Alabama were well aware of the then-assistant district attorney’s sexual antics.

“It was a known fact: Roy Moore liked young girls,” recalled retired Gadsden police officer Faye Gary. “It was treated like a joke. That’s just the way it was.”

While a former lawyer who shared office space with Moore stood up for the candidate, women who were in contact with him during the period remember an older man constantly pursuing younger women on the street, at the mall and at the gym.

Noting that Moore liked to work out at the local YMCA shirtless, Delores Abney, 63, said she recalled Mr. Moore hitting on young women who “appeared to be high school on up” who were taking part in her exercise class.

“It just did not look appropriate,” she stated.

According to former mall employee Janet Reeves, Moore once pressed her friend, who was 17 or 18 at the time, for her phone number, with Reeves recalling, “I just thought he was the creepy old guy.”

Glenn Day, a local store manager also remembered Moore stalking women at the mall, relating that security asked him to let them know if he ever saw the district attorney lurking about.

“I can’t believe there’s such an outcry now about something everybody knew,” Day remarked.

I wouldn't be surprised if he pressed the principal to give him the girl's phone number from the school records and the principal, not being stupid, instead had her brought from class instead.

    Al Franken Shouldn't Resign

...Did Al Franken do something worthy of expulsion? There's the dilemma. I want women like Leeann Tweeden to be able to come forward without consequence to tell their stories. I want the men who abused them to feel their pain, to get it, to show us they've learned from these revelations and will work to put a stop to a culture that has for too long equated power with the freedom to use sex as a right.

I believe Franken gets it. I want him to stay in the Senate because his work is important. Too important to set aside. He does good work there. He asks relevant, sometimes burning questions, does his homework, and works for the disenfranchised, the underdogs, the people hungering for attention to their condition. The loss would be painful.

I want him to work for us, against the Trump administration and the GOP majority, against any hateful agents who try to diminish or harm those of us without power. I want him where he can do the most good. I want him in the Senate.

Top Alabama Papers Shun Moore For Alleged Child Sexual Abuse And A 'Pathological Fixation On Sex'

"Every day new allegations arise that illustrate a pattern of a man in his 30s strutting through town like the cock of the walk, courting and preying on young women and girls," the editorial board writes.

FB"The streets are just filled with young boys being chased by women. Chased by women. Young boys! Chased by women! The streets are full of them!
No matter how you parse that sentence ... I ... well, hmmm, excuse me for a minute I see a couple of squirrels. But no boys. No women. Weird.
More women are sexual predators than men. Women are chasing young boys up and down the road, but we don't hear about that because it's not PC.
That was Pastor Franklin Raddish of the Independent Baptist Ministries of Alabama.
I don't suppose it'll come as much of a surprise that Raddish is a Roy Moore supporter. He believes the accusations against Moore are part of "The War on Men."
    The war on men?
    Buwah?

Odd. Those women must be really good at camouflage.
I'm a man. If there's a war on me, I'd like to know about it.
So I went to look at the Independent Baptist Ministries webpage for more information about this war on men. Where I found a list of interesting articles:
    - The woman's Role in the Home
Spoiler: the words "babies" and "submission" appear frequently. Interestingly enough, the article was supposedly written by a woman.
    - MARRIAGE: THERE WILL BE TROUBLE!
That's literally the title, all caps, exclamation point. I bet you can't guess who's responsible for this trouble?
Hint: it's right there in the Bible.
    - What Should We do about Rainbow Friendly Friends?
Independent Baptists have an interesting definition of "friends."
    - Do Sexual Sins Have Greater Consequences Than Other Sins In Scripture?
Thirty some years ago I was in a college freshman microbiology class, the professor was lecturing on a type of bacteria known as spirochetes -- i.e. Syphilis. A woman with a large gold cross around her neck jumped up and shouted, "THAT'S A LIE! VENEREAL DISEASES ARE NOT CAUSED BY BACTERIA! LIES! SYPHILIS IS A CURSE ON MANKIND FOR HAVING SEX!" This was the first of several such outbursts. Later, in the lab, this same woman sucked an entire pipette of (fortunately killed) salmonella typhi (i.e. typhoid) bacteria into her mouth because she simply could not seem to comprehend basic laboratory protocol. This article, Do Sexual Sins Have Greater Consequences Than Other Sins In Scripture, is a lot like that.
No where did I find any condemnation of Roy Moore -- or even any concern about the accusation against him.
Now, last week Roy Moore and his wife put out a list of 29 Alabama pastors who supposedly continued to support him in the wake of accusations of sexual assault -- some on minors.
Reports followed that it was an old list, and those religious leaders did not, in point of fact, still support Moore.
The Hill contacted each of those pastors. Only TEN have dropped support for Moore. NINETEEN are still behind him. Including Pastor Raddish and the Independent Baptist Ministries. Who believe that there is a war on men perpetuated by legions of women predators who chase young boys up and down the street.

I guess, once you buy into the idea that all of science is completely wrong, the earth is only 6000 years old, two of every kind of animal lived within walking distance of Noah's house, man lives inside a whale, etc, believing all kinds of cockamamie bullshit naturally follows."

So Al Franken stuck his tongue in her mouth during a rehearsal for a USO show. Did she slap him or tell him not to do it again? How many times did they do that show while on the USO tour? Was it only once? Did she go ahead and kiss him again during the actual show?
