Donald Trump is driving young Republicans away from the GOP.

Courtesy of McClatchy:

As the Trump presidency hits the one-year mark, the Republican Party confronts a yawning generational gap that has been exacerbated in recent months by Trump’s incendiary comments on race-related issues and the party’s official support for an accused child molester in Alabama’s Senate race.

Now, as few as a quarter of voters under the age of 30 approve of Trump’s job performance. And among young Republicans, Trump’s approval rating has plummeted 12 percentage points since the spring, according to Harvard’s Institute of Politics poll released last month, down to 66 percent. That’s certainly robust, but well below Trump’s overall GOP approval rating that hovers around 80 percent.

“In a sentence, they are certainly not doing well,” said John Della Volpe, the polling director at the Institute of Politics. “That would be an understatement.”

Gee, funny that a vulgar, racist, habitual sexual abuser would not connect with today's more enlightened youth now isn't it?

To me, these numbers show that a lot of young republicans are either racists, misogynists, anti-inviromentalists, uneducated, or a combination. We have a long way to go.

We may have a ways to go, but we have a weapon on our side now we didn't in the past: Humpty Trumpty.

To me we have already fought all of these issues many years ago. So the young republicans of hateful parents, ignorant parents, uneducated parents are a combination of defunding public education, raping children, and just plain hateful humans. Republicans have stole their children's future and spent their tax dollars on shameful wars and nasty evil boars. Shut down the current gov and force the REPUBLICAN party to pay their debt with their dirty nra rnc gop money. USA Taxpayers demand that only essential agencies remain open. NO more money to that rigger, cheater, lousy, liar pos to visit his properties bought with laundered money.

    Buffalo Springfield-For What Its Worth

    There's something happenin' here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Tellin' me I got to beware

    (I think it's time we)
    Stop, Children, What's that sound?
    Everybody look what's goin' down

    There's battle lines being drawn
    Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
    Young people speakin' their minds
Gettin' so much resistance from behind

    (It's time we)
    Stop, hey, What's that sound
    Everybody look-What's goin' down

What a field day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
    Singin' songs and carryin' signs
Mostly sayin' "Hooray for our side"

    (It's time we)
    Stop, hey, What's that sound?
    Everyone look what's goin' down?

    Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when your always afraid
Step out of line, the man come and take you away.

So this old protest song of the 60's against war, racism, injustice, free speech and press, pertains to today.

    #metoo #shutdowntrump #humankindness

Protest, resist, speak up, never shut up and let's get it right.

      Women March today!
      Women & Power

      https://www.amazon.com/Women-Power-Manifesto-Mary-Beard/dp/1631494759

" Mary Beard addresses in one brave book the misogynists and trolls who mercilessly attack and demean women the world over, including, very often, Mary herself. In Women & Power, she traces the origins of this misogyny to its ancient roots, examining the pitfalls of gender and the ways that history has mistreated strong women since time immemorial. As far back as Homer’s Odyssey, Beard shows, women have been prohibited from leadership roles in civic life, public speech being defined as inherently male. From Medusa to Philomela (whose tongue was cut out), from Hillary Clinton to Elizabeth Warren (who was told to sit down), Beard draws illuminating parallels between our cultural assumptions about women’s relationship to power―and how powerful women provide a necessary example for all women who must resist being vacuumed into a male template."

I just watched PBS news hour and they interviewed several conservatives that were against trump a year ago. Now it appears they don’t care whether his character is the worst in the world, how unethical, mentally ill or criminal he maybe. All they care about is whether he is getting THEIR agenda through, by executive order or legislation.

So morals and ethics don’t matter to conservatives as long as they are republican and taking away the rights of others.
